Twin City Testing Corporation Independent testing compared PDC-treated pavement with untreated companion samples. The findings reported improved surface performance and overall material properties in the treated pavement. The results were also found to differ from those typically associated with surfaces treated using Gilsonite or untreated coal-tar materials.

Restoring Important Asphalt Binder Properties Testing and evaluation conducted for the City of Houston found that PDC replenished lost bitumen and helped restore pavement ductility and viscosity toward their original values. The findings also identified PDC as a preventive maintenance option capable of improving pavement durability, extending service life and reducing maintenance costs.

Supporting Preventive Airport Pavement Maintenance PDC was evaluated as a preventive maintenance treatment at Dunnellon Airport in Florida. According to the Florida Department of Transportation Aviation Office, the project demonstrated PDC’s potential to improve pavement durability, extend pavement life and reduce ongoing maintenance costs.
